Relative Strength Index (RSI)

Relative Strength Index (RSI) is a measure of price with respect to past prices. It provides an index of recent gains over recent losses using a number from 0 to 100. An RSI above 50 indicates an upward trend while an RSI below 50 indicates a downward trend. Wilder considers that an overbought condition has occured when RSI is greated than 70 while an oversold condition has occured when RSI is below 30.
